Hey everyone I got this anemone 4 months ago. He was doing great for the first 2 months but then one day it disappeared from my view and I hadn’t see it for 2 months. Then it came out again but now it is completely bleached and hiding the shade. Has anyone ever had this happen? If so will it come back and is there anything I can do?

I have one that is same, it crawled under the rocks months ago and a few days ago it crept back out, the size of a nickle and completely white. He's been sitting on top of a rock, I just let him be. It looks yellow in the pic, but he's as white as snow. Its actually a red one that I paid $100 for lol

Yours are very nice by the way, I've also about 8 of them in my tank

Yea same thing happened to me with this one I’m just gonna leave it be and I think it will come back they are really hardy creatures. Of course it has to be the most expensive out of the 10 rfa that I have

At least you know he's alive, now you can try to dig in to the root of the problem which could be any number not things. Do you test? Do you have big parameter swings? I don't know tons but I know they don't like that. You see it more in smaller tanks. Luckily they are hardy and you can probly take action. Im not one of them but there are plenty of experts here to help.

My most recent test on Saturday was Alk 8.6 nitrate 15.7 phos .06 I haven’t tested calcium and magnesium in over a month. My alk did drop to 7.3 recently but that was within the last 2 weeks and this guy was unhappy far before that.
