So I got this awesome Ricordea at one of my LFS and it has been doing great for the past few months. Today I was watching my webcam, yes I have a webcam for my tank, and noticed that it decided to move from the center of the frag plug it was in and it seems to be leaving the plug altogether. Is this normal? I have another one on the rock to the left of the photo and it is doing just fine.

They look the same color, but they are not. The webcam has 2 filters installed to make it look a bit better than just blue. I think it had too much light from my DIY LEDS and decided to go under the ledge to take a break, but it feels too fast for this type of coral. What do you think?

This is a full view of the webcam for better quality.

I had some nice Florida Ricordias a few years back on similar plugs...tiles... round and square. I put them on the sand bed... a few days later they were all gone... I thought it was strange. I asked the guy I got them from and he said that it is possible that the feet detached and they floated off. I guess it is one way to find better digs.... I found them a few days later in another part of the tank of course behind rock. They lived there for years until I forgot about them. I gave a couple away when I took down the tank.

I have other mushrooms that as they get more dense...they will also dislocate themselves and will go where the flow takes them.

if they dont lime where they are at they will detach and float to another suitable location hopefully.

oh that is not good. With my luck, he will find its way into the power heads for sure. I may need to intervene.
