How do I get rid of the green algae on my rock and tank bed? It’s not green hair it just my rock and floor is green. What product can I use to get rid of this

How long has your tank been going? It is pretty normal for a newer tank to have algae.

Also, what are your numbers?

Do you have a cleanup crew?

Sounds pretty normal, be patient & good things will come.

Depending on the age of the tank, it’s probably raised nutrient levels, potentially phosphate causing it, or maybe the light schedules, but we would need your tank water parameters and also pictures would help otherwise we are sort of guessing

And welcome to R2R as well!

How big is your tank? If it is big enough a tang might help eat some of the algae. And I would try to stir it up and do a large water change so you can suck some of it out as well as the excessive nutrients in the water.

Nothing good will remove this. It’s just the first layer of color happening. Rocks and sand don’t go from bleach white to multi shade purple with sponges and feather dusters over night. It’s an incremental process
