My saltwater journal.

Last night I was sitting in front of my aquarium, pondering the meaning of life as per a usual Thursday night when from under a rock I could see something "waving" at me. Getting down low to get a better look at this challenger I could see it. A much larger and brighter colored Pom Pom crab. The anemones looked great and he was in "boxing" stance.

The encounter was short lived though as a passing Goby caused it to retreat farther into the rockwork.

So... My Royal Gramma digs burrows...

Here's a picture of extremely weird symbiosis. I just don't know what goes on in this aquarium...

So I was reading a forum on my local club about acclimating mollies to saltwater. I'm super interested in this since they are apparently really good for the CuC as a big algae eater. I want to get one for my tank and slowly acclimate it.

Yea, I did it with a dozen one time. Took me 4 hours to do it on a drip. They look pretty funny in there, because you know they used to being in FW. But, they lasted in mine, until my Pink Tail Trigger thought I said dinner.......

I have nems growing. Thank you Pom Pom Crab...

Quarantine that molly first. Should be done with ay fish, but mollies (being so easy to breed you just about can't stop them) can easily come from "unsanitary" sources.

It only takes about 4 hours to acclimate them to full Marine. Drip method.

Right on man. They acclimate really well, tough lil cookies these guys are.

It's been about a month with no updates...
Thanks to reefing for IDing my nems as a pest :D! So ill be working hard on getting rid of those.

Molly didnt make it. It survived acclimation, but didnt survive long in the tank. Possible bullying from the Gramma and Clowns.

Havent seen my Pom Pom Crab in sometime.

Was trolling some threads and decided on a change of aquascape that would come in the future. I really want to change from Crushed Coral to straight fine live sand (This is when I wish playsand was viable). I also want to move the rocks forward from the wall for more 3D feel. Probably will be working on that in the future when my hours at work pick up and I can afford it!
