Thoughts? Has a few caves. Tried to do the rule of 3. I can always remove a cave but thought it came out ok. Constructive criticism welcomed.

It looks like you are off to a good start! Most of us end up "redecorating" as time goes on so I wouldn't try to get it to its forever state right now. Are you planning to make this a FOWLR tank or do you hope to add corals?

Add corals. My buddy was just telling me to open it up more with bridges on the left. :D. Sooo I gotta figure out how I'm going to do that. I have acrylic rod but I will have to drill. :/

Sounds good! Make sure that you have the appropriate lighting for the type of corals that you plan to add. Also, I would suggest that you don't try to glue (or permanently) attach your rocks together because you almost certainly will want to move them. If you can't figure out how to open up the left side then you may also want to go shopping for that "bridge" piece (or two). Good luck!

This is true! I do have a long piece on the bottom of all that so maybe I will just use that! Lol thinking about it lol

Good idea! You may also be able to use any "extra" pieces from the stack on the left to make a short bridge/cave in the middle for the third pile. One of the most important things at this point is to figure out something that looks pleasant to you (not perfect, but good) and then rearrange as your tank evolves. As you add a new fish or have fish that are not getting along you may be forced to move the "furniture" around anyway.

Haha! So I heard! I still have like another 25 lbs of rock. :D

I like it! If it were me, I would lighten the mound on the left.... make it more open if possible. I bought lots of live rock when I got my new tank and thought I needed to use it all. But it looked really heavy. When I took some out, it looked way better. But every tank is different and people have different tastes. Just my 0.02!

No I agree! Lol. After looking at it it needs help on the left and maybe Thursday i will be able to play with it lol

I constantly want to redecorate! Its like my favorite thing to do lol

Updated. Thoughts??!!

It is definitely a lot more open! Do you like it? At first glance the top of the rock work is fairly even across the top - you may want to consider varying the height of your piles. For example, there is a rock near the middle that is shaped kind of like an upside down "U" that may be you could place on top of the two small rocks in the foreground (or simply remove). I think you are getting close to a solid starting point - good work!

Yea I wasn't sure! But agree! And thank you!!

You have definitely take a more full approach, but that's not a bad thing. I go back to the earlier question - do you like it? I think it a reasonable place to start. I would suggest that you do one last check to make sure that you have room for your cleaning tools between the rocks and the glass.
