I consider myself pretty new at reefing, started out in June 2012 only to have the tank crash lol. Started up again in August 2012 and have been going strong ever since and I'm very glad I didn't give up. I kept low key on buying nice corals and purchased here and there from local fish stores and from local reefers. I would hear the name Sexy corals every so often from stores and other reefers and very easily associated the name with awesome exotic corals. Something reserved for a birthday or special occasion and it's your prized coral in the tank. Every Reefer that I would meet would have a Sexy Coral in there tank and would talk good things about the vendor and the coral itself.
So after a year of success I quickly started to get into higher end corals and stumbled onto the Reef 2 Reef Sexy Corals live sale literally a few days before the sale started. I told myself I must have some Sexy Corals in my tank and after seeing a picture of the "Wowser" zoas I had to pick one up at a discounted price during the lives sale. So I changed my schedule to make sure I participated. It was my second live sale and it was the most fun I had during a live sale, it was great chatting back and forth with Mike and the other participants. It was more of a community feeling rather then a compitition on who can be the quickest to snag the coral. Even the post sale was fun to participate during the super bowl and can't wait for the next live sale or any other sales Sexy Corals has going on.
Mike at Sexy Corals had excellent communication, shipping took a while due to weather but it was ok for me as my order was perfectly ok growing in his tanks. Yes I did get a little impatient at times but it was well worth the wait after recieving my order. Mike at Sexy Corals is a Pro when it comes to shipping corals, box was lined with styrofoam with metalic lining on the inside (very helpfull for temperature retention/rejection), Heat packs that were still hot after recieving the package and each coral packed into baggies that look like sausages lol. He even seperated the chalice, zoas and SPS frags to keep from chemical warfare while they were being shipped!! This to me shows that excellent care is taken both in preperation and handling.
Overall I'm very happy with my experience with Sexy Corals and I look forward to doing more business with them very soon. I know that if you give Sexy Corals a try you won't be disappointed.
