Every shrimp i put into my tank has died besides my peppermint shrimp.

back story
tanks is 10 months old
Good growth from corals ran some test today ill copy past my notes.

Salinity - 1.024
Temp - 80
pH - 7.9
Alkalinity - 8
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 2ppm
Calcium - 470ppm could be lower
Magnesium - 1400 ppm could be lower
Phosphate - idk right now sadly
I use proper water i buy and fritz salt
Water changes every week 10% to 20%.

Okay so i have had a peppermint shrimp in my tank fine for months
I put him in when i put my first (note this the first of 4 wont be doing any more till i find my issues) cleaner shrimp in. They got bullied instantly by my clowns. I found the cleaner dead next day. Pepper is fine still. But every other shrimp i add dies.
Ive tried 4 new cleaners and all dead on the ground no visable wounds thou. Same general location each time.
So i though get a bigger shrimp. Ive had a arrow crab go that was fully grown it was big and a banned shrimp. Now im confused my clowns are babies.
Ive done a drip acclimate taking my time specially with the last few cause i though maybe i suck idk. Lights off in tank and i fed the tank before introducing. It happenes at night so idk what is going on. The recent banned shrimp looked fine moving eating and i never saw the clowns go after her so idk what my issues is.

Something i am missing in this all?

Being found in the same place will just be a flow issue.

If they all die within days it’s likely something is killing them, as acclimatisation would likely show as soon as you added them, saying that tho they do need a very slow acclimation and remember to check the temp of the water as it would have dropped a lot.
My bet is on something is killing them.

30g nano

I think my clown are bullying to death
I watched then attack a shrimp to the point i had to net them and give the shrimp a chance to hide.
I havent seen them do it since that day months ago
But ever shrimp I add had a bad time now

I have a decent amount of rock so i figured hed hide but i guess there being hunted
Idk what to do bout these clowns
There so aggressive
My other pair is so friednly and nice -_-

The two biggest killers are:

-Poor acclimation of the shrimp. . . . acclimate for at least two hours and assuring the salinity in the bag matches that of the tank when youre done acclimating. Netting the shrimp to the tank also a No-No- use a cup

- aggression by tank mates.

Are you using RO water or tap water ?
Are the clowns the only occupants?

Is there any copper in you water or that has ever been used in your tank can come from old copper pipes in house if not filtering the water or medications used in tank

i use ro water from a store
I know its not my water cause my peppermint shrimp is fine but i am very religious with water quality in all my tanks.
I did use a net
I usually use my hand but that banded shrimp had my iffy
Okay ill wait a bit cause i think its my acclimation then i did a half hour float ( small bag ) then a hour drip.
Next time ill do longer and pay more attention
I think my clowns just get fussy with new things

oh there is a flame tail blenny but he doesnt leave his cave
And a fire fish that also doesnt leave it cave till afternoon when feeding

A bubble tip but idk if that matters

emerald crabs also dont get to live

Only this champ of a peppermint shrimp has made it
I feel bad

Check the temp after the drip, as it will have dropped a lot in an hour, after the drip I place the shrimp in a small tub and float in tank for another 30mins to bring back to temp...be careful as shrimp can jump high.

Yeah mine dropped a lot, after all that I nearly lost the shrimp as it jumped out of the small tub when he saw the net but luckily landed in the tank not down the side of it, I jumped nearly as high as the shrimp!

I lost all my shrimp, clams, and some snails when I had a magnesium spike from a bad batch of salt. It was fritz. That was maybe 2 years ago though but I quit using that salt as I found others who had some very high Mg batches too. Mg was 1900ish or so in the mix. Just something to think about... it had no effect on corals or fish that I remember.
