My slice of heaven

Love the stand for your tank!
Thank you its nice to have a welding shop and be able to build it out of aluminum with a cedar vaneer. Had one of my biggest students climb on it and jump and zero movement. I think it will hold an elephant hahahaha.

Here are a few pictures from this afternoon. Got the InTank Refugio and five light installed with chaeto going. I hope it works to reduce some NO3 and PO4. Will put it on a reverse lighting to the main lights. I’m kind of hoping this will also help keep my pH above 7.9 and in the 8.0-8.2 range. Not sure how I’m using .3ppm of alkalinity a day do LPS and coralline algae use that much?
LPS that I have
3 head favia
2 head torch
1 head hammer
1 head duncan
4 head acan

I know this is tiny compared to other systems but this means I’m going to need to get a dosing pump or two with summer work travel coming up.

Ordered the Kamoer X1 Pro 2 dosing pump from Ali express hoping it arrives before June 21st as I leave out of town again for 3 days. I was out for 4 days and all dropped from 8.4 to 6.7. Everything seemed happy and open.

Received the Kamoer X1 Pro 2 today was a breeze to setup and get going. Tested it a 5ml and it put out exactly 5ml. This will make things easier. Now the better half (really me) doesn’t have to worry when I travel and dosing alk.

Well poo SCA again. Removed all filtration and let’s get this tank dirty again. Dosed some silicates already. Still have a few diatoms so maybe it won’t take 2 months this time.
