Lucky you!! Mine have never split so I am absolutely no help. I can only wish and admire..

I would wait until it heals to feed.

First, check your water parameters to see if anything is out, see if there was a reason why it split. It is relatively small.

i have a 12" green bta he still hasnt split had him i months now all other corals and anemones good frog spawn everything growing well iam gonna do water change tomarrow to refresh the water shrimp anemone crab all doing well thought ge was ssmall but since had it doubled in size i just looked at it yesterday and it was lookn great hasnt been lookn bad at all i fed him pretty heavely for 2 weeks then stoped for a week mabe thats why he split

I have found that if you feed them on a regular basis, they are going to split.

Not meaning to steal your thread but how long after a split do you need to wait to start feeding again?

I'm actually working on selling them so I split a big condylactis

My rbta's have split on their own. So far mine have split five times. It did take quite a lot of care (growth/feeding/years) for the original to split. Since they all look the same, it's hard to tell which anemone is now doing the splitting.

As for feeding, I usually wait 3 to 4 days after it splits to feed both. I feed very small sinking pellets and only about 6 or so depending on their size. And I don't feed them every day. My two black saddle clowns are in heaven and are very good at protecting them from all threats, to include a sally lightfoot crab that sometimes gets too close in their opinion. They are fearless.

I have a rose bubble tip that has split 7 times and I have had him for a year and has tripled in size so I have personally just been feeding and checking parameters and just go with the flow[emoji6]

As Yogi Berra would say, déjà vu all over again. Keep an eye on your little green splitting machine. About 8 - 10 years ago little green anemones were being sold as GBTAs. I had one, which quickly turned into 50 plus. It was found that they were not GBTAs, but were Cribrinopsis crassa.....a small anemone from the Mediterranean.

With the size at which yours split, I think that's what you have. So watch it....they never get big and split like rabbits.

Mine can easily open 10" wide and it has never splits. I have been hoping that it will split so I can trade with local reefer.

i bought him guy said he was orange bta but i do see green in him i like anemones so more better
