So I was trying to trap my aggressive 6-stripe wrasse for about 2 weeks now with ZERO results!
Can’t find the spot he sleeps and catching him with red light on doesn’t work either. Was trying all bottle sizes& location and he didn’t come in in any of them (alternatively he did come in, but have no issues with getting out).
I don’t want to drain my 660l tank / stress out every creature in there by removing all rocks.

And I miss my Fire gobies and feeling so bad for them to b hidden 24/7..

Donno what to do [emoji30][emoji30][emoji30]

get a fish trap. I have been 100% sucessful in catching any fish i pleased. Including a six line, melenarus, red coris as well as a sand sifting boby.

There’s something like that? Did u get a pic of the one that worked for u??? Will try to find it in my area

Was just doing my homework, hehe. Is it something like that?

yeah something like that but I got a bigger one because if a fish is getting bullied I can leave it in the box with ample space to swim.

Make sense! :D
Just texted my store to see if they got anything

I have found if you put a small mirror at the back of the fish trap aggressive fish aren't able to resist going to confront the new 'intruder.'

Oh, that might work for this ‘beast’ of mine [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Agreed. You can get them from Amazon, BRS and a few other sites and they work well. What I found works best is to put the trap in without the door on and only put food in the trap for a few days. The fish will get hungry and more bold and once it gets comfortable going into and eating from the trap then add the door and simply wait for it to go in and be distracted by the food. Then spring the trap. I am 2 for 2 using this method on this trap I bought from Amazon:

I was lucky and caught my 6-Line in a 2 liter bottle trap. He was actually one I caught before even baiting the bottle.

A trap with a mirror would be as close to a guarantee as you’ll probably get.

I tried all bottle sizes, from 0,5l to 8l with all typeset food possible [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Get a trap and do the mirror trick as mentioned above. Should make for a pretty gullible fish.
