Hi, I was acclimating snails, and went I went to net them up one stuck to the net? How can I get him off?
My snail is stuck??

You should be able to just pull it off. If that doesn’t work, and you afraid of damaging it, you should be able to leave the net in the tank for a couple hours and the snail should hopefully crawl out.

Yeah, I tried pulling him off, and he was on there pretty good, I guess I’ll leave him. The problem is though, I have another fish I need to add to the tank, and I don’t have another net.

Gently try to pull it off, and like said above if that doesn't work just leave the net in the tank. Snails will be very inactive when first introduced to a tank, so it may take a few hours.

I’d use the net still for the fish, maybe that will knock it off!
Also, You can probably tap the underside of the net with with your finger to make the snail retreat into its shell.

You don’t need the net for the fish. If the snail got caught, imagine if a fish gets caught with the net in the gills? I tell you from experience it’s a horrible feeling and it’s possible to damage the fish. I always suggest to use your hand or empty the water from the bag completely then drop the fish.

I hope your gills have healed
FWIW some nets are safer than others and some fish just can't be easily handled. But I do agree, that one must be careful and that gills and fins can get caught.

Take it out of the water for a little while. It will let go.

I am still just so confused how a snail is stuck to mesh... can you show a pic of the foot? I am starting to think this is trolling...

As long as it take for it to let go. It will be easily fine for hours.
If it does not let go, it may be stuck (I doubt it) but would likely be a gonner anyway.

It's probably still self acclimation itself. Try leaving it in the tank overnight, and see if it comes off. You can try leaving it out in the open, but I am not sure how that will work out. Like I have said multiple times, snails will be very inactive after being added to the tank.Yeah, here

Is this going in the new tank that you just set up? If not, my apologies. If so, you seem to be rushing into getting a clean up crew for a new tank. The snails will not have anything to eat. You may want to put some Nori for them to eat and slow down on stocking.

Not for my new tank, I already have one set up, and I decided to get a couple more snails, because the ones I have couldn’t quite keep up with the algae.

! I was just curious because you are posting about the two emergency’s about the snails. If you can post a full tank picture with the algae you are dealing with, a lot of knowledgeable people on here can help you with what you need.
