I started this 60 last October, but was looking today and was please with how far it had come. Thought I would post some facts and pics.

The tank is a Solana 60 cube with:
Radion XR30 LEd
2xMP10 Vortech
ASM G1X Skimmer
Reef Octopus Bio Pellet Reactor
Neptune APEX Controller
BRS Carbon/GFO Media Reactor w/ MJ1200

That is a sweet tank and great job on the electrical panel! LOL!

Thanks. Sorry about the multiple posts, but was struggling with the pics. As for the e-panel, you have to do a lot of planning and cramming to get all that under a 60 stand.

Oh, and I forgot on my equipment list that there are BRS dosing pumps for Alk, Mag, CA, and ATO shoved under there as well. Which includes 3x32 oz dosing bottles and a 2.5gal ATO reservoir.

Oh, and lastly, my photo skills (and my camera) lack a lot. So, assume that things aren't quite that blue.

What are the dimensions of the tank?

What are the dimensions of the tank?
24x24x24. When the tank ships, it is actually inside the stand, with zero wiggle room, so the internal dimensions of the stand match the tank. All of my stuff and a 15-Tall sump eats away at space in a hurry.

I think that's one of the best rockscape's I've seen, you totally make it work in that small-ish of a tank. I especially like the left side view. Awesome job on the e-panel to!

Thanks for the props. I really don't know about the best, but I like it. I will admit to having a plan, but getting lucky at the same time. I wanted to create 3 distinct zones in the tank: low, medium and high shelfs, but got lucky with overhangs and shear faces. The low, medium, and high spots are left, right-front, and center-back respectively. The overhang is right front, and both sides have shear faces. So, to accomplish this, I opened the box of rock from BRS, which I had asked for a show piece to be included, and all the parts were there and needed almost no modification. I blunted one end of the big center show piece rock to adjust the height, and everything else just dropped into place. I have no rods, glue, tie wraps, or anything else holding it together, It is simply 3 major and 2 minor rocks (which are by the sides of the overflow). Even a blind dog finds a bone on occasion.

Awesome tank! I have the same tank dimensions as yourself and I only have one Vortec 10. How much flow are you getting from both forward? My tank is empty sitting in the living rm. thanks

I run one MP10 (the master) at 100% and the other (the slave) at 70%, due to what is place on which side of the tank. The side with the frogspawn and zoas get less flow. I cycle through lagoon, tidal swell, reef crest with building intensity throughout the day. I run lagoon at 70% max on both at night. There is plenty of flow.

Do you think that I will be ok with just one? It is rated up to 50 gallons If I remember right? Have you tried putting just one on the side of the tank or have you always had 2? Thank you!

I have always had 2, mainly because I did not want to put one on the side of the tank and obstruct the view. Assuming that your return is 500-1000gph, 1 on the side should be adequate, but perhaps not optimum. Two simply gives you more options. The below graph from Ecotech's Vortec calculator (EcoTech Marine Flow Calculator) show one to be underpowered, but it does not factor in the return, as tanks can be sump-less.
