My sps is bubbling

What is happening to my sps? It is growing bubbles? You can see a few polyps on the bubble too

If you need params- I can do the testing. Last I checked a week ago all was good with slightly elevated nitrite. Everything else looks really good on my corals

I have that same stylo and I've never seen that. I have seen it a few times here on r2r in more than a few types of coral.. My guess is it's a blister like we get, due to an irritation. I do wonder what the coral immune system is like. Is that filled with white blood cells?

That's wild, what are your parameters like, stable? Any changes recently?

I've barely touched the tank in the last week- just regular feedings. water change was a week ago - was supposed to do one yesterday but had an emergency I needed to tend to.

Parameters were stable when I checked a few days ago, just nitrite was a little elevated (don't remember the numbers at the moment).

there's maybe 3 bubbles that I could see. Can't see other side to see if there's more bubbles.

Read something similar. PH and salinity instability seem to be apart of the convo as well, but no empirical proof.

I will check my mag levels- not sure what it is. I have byropsis in my tank so I am not sure if my mag is high, but I will check to be sure!

Completely off topic, but have you seen the pure white variety of this? I thought it was dead as a door nail, but I have a frag thats all white with major polyp extension and has grown...

It's no more off topic than we were! Lol. Yes, I've seen them white. They are very hardy corals and will bleach readily in response to changing conditions. Seems to be a survival characteristic for them. Give them stable conditions and blue light and they will color up
