GOALS! Any tips for starting with some basic SPS?

I started with montipora, birdsnest, pavona, leptoseris, pavona, and green slimer acropora. All of these are considered "beginner" sps coral. I initially had difficulty keeping them because my tank wasn't mature enough. After about 8 months, the coral began to grow out. Over the last two years, I upgraded the lights and flow, and added some more acropora. Stability of parameters, especially alkalinity are key to happy sps coral.
