My frags that I have to mow the lawn every couple of months.
The frag plugs are magnets for GHA and every few months I have to pull the frags and gently remove the GHA with a toothbrush, if I don't the plug base develope green rugs.
My CUC occasionally does it for me but I can't plan on them being punctual.

How do you folks keep the algae at bay from the base of your frags?

When I had frags on a rack, I’d take a weekend once every other month or so and put a handful on the sand overnight to let the crabs clean them. Worked for me until I glued them. Then the crabs maintained for me. I had blue legs at that time.

Man, I hate that! I have a few frags that have to constantly be pulled from the rack or sand to get be scrubbed.
