I have had this RFA hanging upside down (as has been recommended) with the top in some water for about 3 hours as of 5:00, but it won't release and fall off. I have tried putting ice on the foot, but it's in a hole and it didn't work. I spray water on it every few minutes to keep it from drying out. Any more ideas?

Never seen an anemone that determined to stay in one spot like that.

Seems that it liked that spot. Why are you trying to kill, I mean "move", it? Maybe just flip the rock and move it and let the nem move on its own(assuming it still can)

I am trying to take that rock out of the tank and when I have done this before it took about 20 minutes.

Maybe chisel off the chunk of rock around its foot and let it release on its own..(?) I assume you've tried ticking it or picking at foot with a credit card or screwdriver shaped piece of plastic?

It's tough, because it is in a narrow, deep hole. I stuck a frozen tool up in the hole and tried, but it didn't help.

Is there a rush in getting the rock out? If not, maybe flip rock upside down in tank and wait for it to move on it's own. Point a powerhead at it, put in dark area, or pipe trick?

I've tried putting it in the dark and using a power head. Both times it moved when I wasn't watching and went into another hole. This rock is like swiss cheese.

It's been seven hours and it won't give up! I'm feeling guilty about letting it hang there all this time and decided to put it back in the tank for now.
