My Sump... How to configure my baffles?

I just got my SCA 180 gallon tank and sump. The sump was not configured the way it was pictured on their site.
I need to configure it properly.

Please help me figure out where the baffles (bubble traps) should be.

This sump goes from right to left.

1st chamber is where the tank drains. It will have ClariSea SK 500 filter roller
2nd chamber is where the skimmer will be.
3rd chamber is for fuge. I will have Bio Blocks and Seachem Matrix in this section.
4th chamber is for the return pump.
5th section is the ATO reservoir.

I need to know where and how to add baffles.
The way it's set up now, I'm pretty sure I will get microbubbles from both the drain and the skimmer going into the return section.

This is how the sump was supposed to come. In these pics, the sump goes from left to right.

This goes from LEFT TO RIGHT

Is all the way to the left an ATO section? If so, it is very similar to mine. All the way right has the drain and skimmer, then macro or macro and rock in the next two(optional miracle mud in third), fourth has return pump and ato level.

I'm worried about bubbles and a lack of bubble traps.

I plan on adding them but I'm not sure which side should have the glass raised and which side the glass should be short and attached to the bottom.

You won't need anymore bubble traps than the last one. Bubbles will stay in first section mostly and the ones that will go to the 2-3 sections will be caught by that BT.

Try it out in your bathtub. You will see you can pump from 4-5 ft. high in the last section and you won't have bubbles in the return section.

I think it will be fine as is. Mine is similarly built. I wouldn’t put it in the tub unless it’s very flat. A curved tub bottom may not allow the sump to lay flush with the sump. I tested mine with a hose outside. If it ruptured, no harm or glass in my A##.

Dangros is correct. Do not put on an uneven surface.

Right chamber sock or floss etc..., second chamber skimmer if it fits, if not remove the short baffle there, third fill it with rock rubble and marine pure balls, last chamber return pump. That just a simple way I have mine and seeing my tank it works great. You could also add bags of carbon, phosgaurd, purigen if your tank needs it.

I have had my skimmer in the same chamber as the skimmer for over 5 years and it works well. You can use the chambers as you see fit, but the point is that you don't need to reconfigure unless your skimmer doesn't fit in one of the sections. The BT will do its job.
