My sump is not level

Setting up my tank and the sump is not level by about half an inch.

It has a thin leveling mat on it already and I don’t think just another new mat put on top of the old will do the trick because it’s off that much.

now can I raise it up with cut up yoga mat pieces? Since It’s only about 18g sump and wouldn’t I be worried if it’s about 90% leveled?

How level is the stand with the tank on it?

That's a big variance! Can you post a picture of the stand? Might need to do some serious work on it.

I would fix it now rather than wait. It sounds like it's off by a lot.
Be careful what you use to level it. The surface needs to be smooth and not have any high pressure points on one part of the sump versus another. Keep in mind and 18G sump can weight over 150lbs when full.

Never used a mat, most people use foam. I use the heavy duty green foam from Lowe’s

Sounds like your stand need some shimming. If the sump is directly in the floor, maybe put a sheet of plywood under it and shim that, then use your leveling mat on the plywood.
