My t5 combo. Looking for opinions.

On my tank I run 4 bulbs blue+, purple+, true actinic, and E5 blue pops. It's been 6 months almost and everything grows and colors are vibrant. So I think (in my opinion) not using pure white is the best idea possible. The blue+ and purple+ are my daylight bulbs which cover UV and IR spectrums at both peaks, then actinic and E5 blue pop to make the tank glow at night, and 3 hours in the middle of the day all 4 are on. I know PAR is important but proper spectrum sits higher on my list of importance. Just my 2 cents.

Nothing wrong with the 4 blue and 2 purple bulbs you are running. If you like it keep it. Corals will be fine.
I have run 6 blue and 2 purple before. Everything grew and colored great. I just prefer a whiter look now.
In a 6 bulb I run 3 blue and 3 coral bulbs. But that's what I like.

IME colors will be enhanced by proper spectrum and growth by higher intensity or (par) . So your colors look good. You want faster growth? If so add more lights or a slightly longer photoperiod.
If you have a ph meter in the tank and your daily ph swings are always the same you can use the reading to give you a ruff idea of the increase in photosynthesis once you increase the light. So if by 4 pm your normal max ph is 8.1 and in the days after your light increase your hitting 8.2. Well your growing faster now.
