Ok. So they are some kind of paly. Kinda neat if they won't cover everything in the tank. I have tried to bury the rock, scrap, siphon and added shrimp. Nothing seems to work to keep them from growing everywhere in the display tank. I believe my nitrate levels are a bit high. I haven't tested for that.
5 gallons of water change weekly.
Temp 79
Alkalinity 3.6
KH 9.6
Calcium 400
Salinity.025 ppm
The tank you see in pictures is a Quarantine tank and will eventually become a frag tank (stand alone).
I pulled the rock you see out of my 60 gal display. The display only has 4 coral lps. And very few remaining plays lurking around that I can eradicate by hand, burry or siphon. If I squish them by hand they split perhaps making more out of one. I don't know but when they show in the rock I burry the rock and a few days latter the are gone. 3 days later more return
Any ideas!?
I've tried apistaX too... Sometimes it works.
I've tried to stab them too. More come back
In the pictures I have the room completely dark 24 hrs and no light. It's been that way for 1 week and I see sustained palys but no growth. i am trying to kill them with lack of light and fish swimming around.(no fish food whatsoever) I have HOB filter with carbon and bio filter media. Water parameters about the same as display.
Any ideas as whatever else I can try aside from drying out the rock and replacing everything else?
Thank!
