As long as the water level doesn't go that high if the return pump is shut off, I see no reason it wouldn't. Ideally you'd want the dosing lines oppose the intake of the skimmer (looks like that is how you have it) so it dissipates a bit before it has a chance to get sucked into that as well.
Would you be able to help, maybe with 2 other questions? One is. Off and on I have an issue with a white film on the inside of my glass. At times it' clear as a bell then out of the blue im scraping it everyday? And the little red florets of cryto that tends to start in the back?.... some have bragged they have never had it, some scrape it; they find it unsightly, or they think it is a nuisance algae. My research is hit and miss on both topics. Could you, as you sound 'in the know' ring in on these?
