My temp is 78.9.

All jokes aside, is there a question here? 80 is a bit on the high end, but should not be a problem as long as you don't have dramatic swings. Most of us aim for 77/78 range. Indo reefs are in the 78 range most of the time...

Mine is typically 80 in the summer months, 80.3 right now. Never seemed to be a problem.

Agreed, there are a lot off us in hot areas that don’t run chillers. That is fine

Over 80 I may float a bag of ice in the sump for a while.

I live in the Caribbean so this time of year my tank is normally in the low 80s. Haven't seen any issues

I think consistency is the key more than the actual temp. (Within reason, of course.)

@revhtree Something is funky with this thread, hopefully it is an isolated issue, but if not, it will cause some extreme confusion...
