My tests before the Triton

These are the test numbers I ran prior to sending out the ICP, I will update as the results come back. Current situation has a few corals (Montipora Digitata, couple encrusting Montiporas, Green Stag, and a Garf Bonsai) starting to show signs of STN.

Only changes to the tank have been A UV sterilizer and the addition of a filter sock to the system. All numbers have been very stable the last few months, even longer honestly, as I have been doing the manual tests 1-2 times a week.

TIN.... where does that come from?

Tin was in my first test, which was a while ago and it was at 54... Now it is at 9. Is 9 enough to be worried about?

Have you read the stuff that taricha did with ICP tests. If not, then it is a good idea. They are not all that accurate, so you kinda have to use them as a slight indicaton or tool and not so much an absolute.

Tin can come in some salts mixes, kalkwasser and accumulate over time just in normal foods if water is not changed... and probably other things that I am forgetting. I cannot remember if tin is an issue, or not - I cannot remember what Dr. RHF says about it and the people like us on web have a range from "don't worry, be happy" to "it crashed my tank." Somewhere in the middle seems more right.

If you decide that it is bad, many have used ion stuff like Cuprisorb for it.

If it helps. I have 3 nanos.
Nano #1. 20gal. No tin.
Nano #2. 16gal. Tin 15 ug/l.
Nano #3. 25 gal. Tin 76 ug/l.

Rodi. No tin.

The issues on Nano #3. Triggered the ICP
testing.
Symptoms were:
-coraline was present but it was growing slow.
-All acropora frags were RTN'ing or STN'ing within 2 weeks.
-Montiporas bubblegum got STN (slower than acros). Both red and green plating got STN, receded drastically (but didn't die).
-polkaroo cyphastrea leptastrea started to suffer polyp bail out. It survived.
-Acan bailed out (1 polyp survived).
-Goniopora. Shrinked, showed no PE.
* Duncan. Not affected
* Blastomussa. Not affected
* Gorgonian. Not affected.

Nano #2
'No issues.
'Surviving Acan is recovering.
'Goniopora is recovering.
'All new montiporas(plating, digitatas) are growing.
'Acanthophyllia is fluffy.
'Indophyllia is fluffy
'Cynarinas are fluffy.
'Trachyphyllias are fluffly.

Nano #1.
'No issues.
'Zoas are ok.
'Montipora sunset mini patcht is ok.
'Green plating monti micro frag is recovering here.

Suspected source of Tin in Nanos #3 and #2. The green tubing from Eheim canister filters. I got rid of those. The Filter was great. I just didn't want to experiment with new silicon tubing.
