This is in no way a bashing thread about this pump. But I do know that Ecotech monitors forums so they might take this into consideration.
I am in market for a new pump and had my heart set on new Vectra pump.
I have become a new fan of Ecotech after using their MP40QD, thanks to Rev that I won in a raffle.
I was disappointed to see it priced at 349 dollars. What was more disappointing was all the features the pump has that I will never use.
Features that are designed for closed loop systems.
That got me thinking that maybe Ecotech can design a dc pump for users that don't have a closed loop. Maybe it will cut down on the cost and I will still be able to get reliability that I expect out of Ecotech.
Then maybe they could offer the pump at 200 dollars. A simple dc return pump.
We don't have many choices in the dc pump market when it comes to reliability.
So who else agrees that a simple dc return pump from Ecotech around 200 would be awesome.
I later thought that price for 2000 gph return pump is around 349 dollars. All the features are just extras and not offering them won't help in reducing cost. This could also be the reason.
