My toadstool wont extend its polyps

It has been like this for 3-4 weeks now It hasnt extended its polyps from what I have seen. All my water conditions are good but my salt level is a bit high. Would that affect it from extending.

It can, lower salinity to 1.025 or 1.026 and direct more flow at it, increased flow can really help coax leathers to open up.

Completely anecdotal, but I’ve found my leather stops opening up when it’s time to change out my carbon. As soon as I put fresh carbon in the reactor it opens right up.
