This is my Newest Upgrade from a Fluval EVO 13.5
A little Back Story, I've always loved aquariums and salt water fish, my wife and i enjoy going to different zoo's/aquariums in near by states so it was always a dream of mine to have a tank. in the winter of 19, I bought the fluval and knew i would always upgrade so keeping that i mind, i bought/acquired things for a future build. While on FB one night i came across this RSM 130D, fairly priced, broken light which I didn't like the top anyways and decided to buy it Because the wife said i could!
. Fast forward to today and here we are.
Tank: Red Sea Max 130D AIO
Stand: RSM matching stand
Planned equipment/Owned Equipment
Sump: Might get there one day, not sure how i feel about an overflow box just yet
Refuge- At some point down the line i hope to add a Tunze MAR 3181
Heater- 1 BRS 300w titanium(Main), 1BRS 100w titanium (backup) Both running on an Inkbird Controller
Skimmer: Aquamaxx 1.5 HOB
Return: 130D Upgraded 340GPH Pump
Flow: MP10, Icecap 2k Gyre
Lighting: Radion XR30 Gen 5 Blue
Controller: APEX Classic
ATO- Aqua Auto
ATO Reservoir- Trigger systems 10g Ruby
MISC-
I have also taken out the tunze skimmer
chopped down the back plastic to fit HOB accessories
removed the lid and added a mesh screen top
also added an intank acrylic media basket running siporax and brighwell bio media
Substrate and Rock
Sand: Dry Carib Sea Aragonite
Rock: Custom NSA scape that took about 5 hours to piece together from rubble, definitely worth the time
Planned Livestock/Livestock and Corals
2-Black ice Phantom Clowns
1- Foxface lo, who at some point will either have to be moved or sold
2-Sapphire damsels
I would eventually like to add a pistol shrimp/goby pair
Im a huge fan of LPS so most of my coral stock will be LPS/a few softs and few easy lps
