Awesome pics - wish I could take pics like that

Can you please share some advise and tips on how you got some awesome pics ?

I gained a lot of experience with a camera purely because of how often I'm taking pictures. 95% of it is practice, anyone can take awesome pictures you just have to stay on it.
For reference, this was my photography in early 2011

Also, dont ever let anyone tell you that you need the most expensive equipment to take nice pictures. Before I could afford a big beefy macro lens I would shoot with the standard 18-55 lens and a set of lens extension kits and guess what? Hardly anyone but the photography geeks could tell. They cost me a whole $5 shipped from amazon.

Can you post some of the names of the sticks?
