Just today my very agressive eating two spot tang didnt eat this morning. He typically is waiting in the morning for food but today hes swimming around and hiding and didnt eat. The rest of the fish are fine as well as the shrimp and snails.
Hes about 8 months old and was healthy from the start and purchased from Marine collectors.
Hes not breathing heavy and no visible ick or markings.

Any reason for this ?

I would not rely on inverts for changes that may have occured but do obviously start with checking levels such as Ammonia and nitrate to assure they have not shop up.
Assure salinity and even temperature has not changed.

Is the fish breathing normal or now rapid?
Is fish gasping at surface or swimming in the path of water flow?
Can you provide pics and even video under white light intensity?

Very early and this is not a new fish entry.
Could he have been in an argument or startled during the night?
I’d just keep a close watch. So many reasons, many are not of concern.

Not breathing heavy.
Not grasping at surface

Sudden Anorexia in small reef fish is a serious symptom. While you might have just startled it when you went to feed it, there may be an underlying cause - try feeding it later today.

Rapid breathing can be subjective unless you get an actual respiration count. You can video the fish and count the gill beats in a time frame. It should be less than 80 per minute.

I'm counting about 90 gill beats per minute, so a possible issue there. The fish also "coughed" a couple of times and is breathing pretty deeply.

I couldn't get a good view, but the wrasse also seems to have some generalized skin issue and one eye is cloudy (or a cataract).

Try feeding it later today and let us know.....

Yes, the Wrasse has had the cataract for a few months, he's pretty old as well.
Thanks for the feedback !
