My upcoming QT plan, what do you all think?

I think I am going to wait to try and feed him until tomorrow, unless someone thinks I should try sooner.

And probably wait to do any meds until a day after he eats

After finally getting the Lawnmower to eat in QT last night, I dosed the first dose of Prazipro. I would like to do a water change every 2 to 3 days. Can I do this with prazipro as long as I dose the new water before it goes in the tank? @Big G , or anyone else familiar with QT?

Prazipro does most of it's work during the first 24 hours of being dosed, and while it remains active for about 3 days, it's breaking down. It's important to dose again 5-7 days later to kill any remaining eggs that have hatched. So it's not like treating with copper and struggling to maintain a therapeutic level over extended periods.

O.k. Should I wait until day 3 is complete and do a water change then? Or can I do one tomorrow which would be after 2 days?

You can do it after 24 hours. And then just re dose 5-7 days after the first dose.

I have not attempted a QT in years. I think the main reasons my previous attempts failed though were due to water quality. So I do not want to repeat that.

So far the blenny is eating little bits but not a lot. What I gather from others they are hit and miss on prepared food. I have plenty of algae in my display tank so I think he'll be fine when he gets in there. So I started dosing copper in the qt right away to get the process going. He is up to 1ppm copper power. By Sunday morning I hope to have him up to close to 2ppm. Going to leave him in copper for 2 weeks then put him in my dt. I know this is fast and not ideal, but he is not a good eater and I think its necessary. He'll at least have made it through 1 round of prazi and 2 weeks of copper by then. Definitely better then nothing.

Just an update. The blenny completed 1 week of prazipro, in-between the the first and second week i dosed up copper. Then dosed the second dose of prazi. Now he has been sitting for a full week at therapeutic copper.

My plan is to let him finish his second week. Then start doing daily water changes. Mostly because my DT runs at 1.025 and the QT is running at 1.020. So probably 2 or 3 days of this, then into the DT he goes.
