Hi there,

My 36 gallon bowfront has been up for 4 months now, well cycled, all numbers are perfect, have been through and gotten rid of Bryopsis, diatom and brown hair algae outbreaks, Seem to be done with the uglies.

For my 1st fish, I am adding two firefish and 1 Royal Gramma. After fish settle in and parameters stay nice, I would love to add my 1st soft coral!

I have read forum threads advising against green star polyps, and I do not want to put in a sea mat type coral that will take over my whole tank. I want something colorful, am leaning towards Zoas or mushrooms.

What would you suggest for a 1st coral that would be both colorful, interesting, easy to grow, but not obtrusive?

Zoas or Palys.. Few great packs right now offered by some or our forum members. Get a pack of different colored ones.. Great introduction to the hobby...

Yes zoas would be a nice addition to your tank.

There are so many different colorations and grow fairly quick.
