My very first saltwater aquarium!

Don't be afraid to add some shrimp in there too! Cleaner shrimp are probably one of the coolest guys to watch as they clean other fish and they aren't afraid to clean you as well. Fire Shrimp provide some amazing dark red color that you won't see anywhere else. Might not be a bad idea to get some cool clean up crew guys as well, emerald crabs are my favorite. Start slow and get some bigger snails or hermits. Either way It just adds to the life within the tank. Enjoy stocking!
+1
Cleaner shrimp, pistol shrimp yellow goby combo, emerald crab (alpha dog of the tank) , urchins. My favorite things about my tank is the diversity. I didn't go the quarantine method and went more Paul B philosophy. I add rock and substrate from every new LFS I visit just so i can find new life i didn't have before. Been lucky and never had any pests come in. However i have at least 3 species of snails, a bunch of worms, copepods and amphipods that i never intentionally purchased. Always fun witnessing an ecosystem that developed on its own.

In the talk about inhabitants I just added a pistol shrimp and watchman goby. Shrimp is in there making a mess already

Thank

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ll definitely add some cleaner shrimp.

Should only need 1. 2 may be overkill I think I've heard? Also wait a month after your first fish to get a shrimp. They need stable parameters and the additional food lying around.

Oh, okay. Also only 1 cleaner shrimp, correct? Thanks for the heads up.

Yup.
