LITTLE THE I KNOW:
I keep scraping the pink algae growing on the back wall of my tank/pumps/glass/rocks.i take the rocks out just enough time ( on my noob thinking) to get the pretty ( pink) to turn white and see my rock and my tank ( clean) in my head ( I have the most beautiful clean tank around) lol. Well now Ik how valuable and necessary is to have coralline algae in my tank. It actually let me know how well my tank is doing. The question is what you thought when you first sought the pretty (pink algae) on your tank ?

It's more than just an indicater of tank health. It's an indication of tank maturity, and it is foundational in turning a pile of rocks into a reef. It's natures cement.
