My WB 45.2 Build

Start to now. So far pretty good. Issues with the 45.2 first leveling. My tiles are not perfect. Leveled the thank put rock in then moved the tank a foot over. Not level. Chased the leveling feet round and round for a while before taking everything out and starting over. Next the abs sheet I put on the bottom was lifting in a corner. Could not have that so again rock out removed rock back in finally full of water.

Tank was fish less cycled with a variety of bacteria dr Tim’s instant ocean and purple helix. The media in the sump is cerameco detox block from amazon. Return pump is the nyos viper 3.0. Skimmer is bubblemagus curve 5.

After cycle added clown and bangi cardinal. Later a few zoas and just let it run. Bubble mag took a while to act right. Useing the xp duetto for my ato. I quickly realized that the overflow is useless for socks or any other filter media unless you want to change it every day. If left in more than overnight it will effect the level in your sump and the ato will start adding water.

Here’s the tank at 3 months battling the ugly brown slime algae and bacteria blooms. A few 10 dollar tester Frags added.

Here’s the tank at 4 months. Weekly water changes with reef chrystals. Running carbon and gfo in a brs reactor. No socks or filter floss.

Here’s the tank now about 5.5 months in. Planning on pulling sump for a thorough cleaning at 6 months mark. Let things settle back in before adding anything thing else. Oh I did finish my fish stock adding a six line. A lawnmower blenny and a royal gramma. Also dosing kalk via the built in ato and a brs doser timer combo. Added a 5 gallon reservoir as my ato. The light is the noopsych k7 pro.

Waterbox 45.2 is now 6 months old dosing kalk about to add tropic Marin all for red when kalk can’t keep up.

Just a 7 month shot. Tank doing well lost a rock anemone for some reason and my purple monti rtn’d for some reason. Not going to blame vibrant most likely the lightning change.

I lost a dear loved one over the holidays. Needless to say through the grieving processes and being out of town, the tank has been on auto pilot for a month. Luckily, things are doing pretty well. A few frags took hits. I suspect due to temperature fluctuations. I have now upgraded my heater. I think the cold kalk and auto top-off were to much for the the smaller heaters to keep up with while out of town.

Variety of shots. The tank is now 9 months old. So far, lost a rock anemone, no idea why, went from fantastic to a small wad of bubble gum overnight. Lost a few acro frags and had a purple montipora RTN for unknown reason. I would tribute the Acro frags STN'ing due to the temp swings from being out of town and the temp dropping. I suspect the cold water in the ATO reservoir and Kalk reservoir was to much for the heaters to keep up with. Upgraded heater hopefully that is now corrected.
