So, I have had a Christmas tree wrasse for over a year. One of the coolest fish I've ever owned. He is pretty consistent on when he buries in the sand to go to bed and the same for when he wakes up. So It was weird when I didn't see him swimming in the tank at 12:30pm when he is up at 7-8 am daily. I looked around my tank thinking he jumped out, but didn't see anything. I decided to feed the tank and see if it would entice him if he was still buried in the sand. He popped out within 10 seconds! I guess he was being lazy and sleeping in. And of course he is a tubby and couldn't pass up a good meal. Haha. Anyone have any similar experiences?

My solon wrasse, originally would sleep in the sand bed but now he sleeps in the rock! He is kinda weird and tries to mimic the six line wrasse.

That is pretty funny. Just busts a nap on a rock. I imagine it wouldn't feel very good haha. I have yet to see him in the act of burying or coming out. Today was the closest I've come. He's so dang fast and I usually see a cloud kick up and he's gone.

That's really weird. Never heard of a fairy wrasse sleeping "in" the sand bed. Mine usually sleep in a hidden spot sometimes on top of the sand bed but never in it. Interesting to hear if our wrasse experts have ever seen that.

It was for about a day, and then he changed his spot.
