My Yellow tang has always been quite a jerk. This is not the only yellow I've owned and the other ones weren't much better.
I bought this one small and have only kept him in 90g tanks with other semi aggressive tank mates.
I understand that they get territorial, especially in smaller systems, but this one seems to like to chase out drama. A while back, he gashed my full grown maroon clown if that tells you anything. (It took the maroon several weeks to heal). As of this moment, the yellow has been confined to the sump temporarily because of increased aggression.
Has anyone ever had a yellow tang that was a bully and moved them to a much larger system where they suddenly became model citizens?
I am upgrading to a 300 gallon system in a week and I am debating whether or not he will be included.
Any thoughts?
