My Zeo/Triton Tank

Started cycling the tank 10 weeks ago

3 weeks later I broke down my old tank and transfered the fish and corals

10x80w T5s
Zeo skimmer
Zeo reactor
Dosing pump for core 7 reef supplements

Thanks do doesn't touch any sps I've 2 lps in there too and he doesn't touch them either

Were you RobbiesReef on Zeovit forum? Your previous tank was mind blowing. I'm borrowing your bulb spread from your previous tank, in my ATI powermodule, I promise I will return it when I am done

Oh I also want to know more about running your zeo reactor and triton in conjunction together. (I am still running a zeo reactor). Are you also running a refugium?

I use Zeovit/reactor start 3 zeo bak and sponge power to keep nutrients down
I use core 7 reef supplements for water chemistry
No refugium

Super cool, I will probably be picking your brain. I am operating my zeo tank a little differently than they do on the zeo forum, I've been interested in the core 7 from triton but haven't found anyone running a triton system in conjunction with a zeolite reactor. I'm in the process of deciding how I want to manage nutrients in the future I haven't decided if I want to ditch the zeo reactor, in favor of a refugium or not. Thanks for posting, I'll be following along with your new adventure.

What parameters are you running?

What parameters are you running?

No problem at all there is two types of Core 7 I use the reef supplements (other methods)
SG 34
Kh 8
Ca 420
Mg 1250
K 390
I get a triton test done every second month

Do you keep detectable nitrates and phosphates? Or are you running an ULNS?

I am running the same skimmer, and the same reactor on a 600L Net system. I love the skimmer, hate the Aquabee 5000 pump. Mine came with a faulty impeller and parts are non existent in America. It's been a great performer since, but I have noticed that if a single grain of sand or activated carbon makes it's way into the becket venturi that it ruins it's performance completely. But that's an easy thing to remedy.

Looks like your reactor may be a slightly better design than mine. I think the guy who built mine was saving his glue for some big shortage (or maybe there was a big shortage) because all the glue joints are bad on mine, and it has and routinely does fall apart during stone changes.

The KZ warranty service in the US isn't great either. I was told they would replace it and a new one had to come in. Even got a call assuring me it would be shipped to me in "a couple months" when they received another shipment. That was 9 months ago. Anywho... not really trying to grump, but I am doing a good job of it. (Sorry, not my intent).

I REALLY like how well I can control NO3 and PO4 with the reactor, but I've switched from running undetectable NO3 and PO4 to running detectable nutrients. Hence why the contemplation of ditching the reactor (besides the above complaints).

Triton is very alluring to me, as I am not a fan of Zeovit's "mystery" blue bottles. It makes it very difficult to manage a system when you don't have a clue what you are adding, or what you should be adding.

I appreciate your bearing with me, your thread is exciting too me as I can see a lot of logic and reason in your system design.
