My zoanthids are all close

Hi my zoanthids are all closed up and I want to know if this is normal or not and what i should do. Thanks!

What are your parameters? Lighting? I see some GSP in the background, is it possible they're upsetting your zoas?

They look irritated. Are they new to the tank? Any changes in lighting or new critters like crabs?

I don’t know but they were out the day after I got them

Green star polyps are very close to your zoas. Might be some coral warfare going on.

Knowing and keeping parameters stable is a must in keeping corals..

They are new to the tank and I have a sand sifting goby that likes to climb over them

check all your params and temperature,,,test Alk first,,alk swings will do this to zoas

Is your lighting different than where you got them? They might just be acclimating.

It looks like something distrubed them. I wiukd only be concerned if this persists. My zoas close up alot when my brittle stars decide to walk on them.

Sometimes when you get new zoas they are open the first day and shut the next, this is them either adjusting to the tank (param or par) or something is bothering them. I would leave them alone for a while and observe what they are doing and make sure nothing is on them. Also check and make sure all your params are close to what they need.

That happened to mine and they were closed for about two weeks. I dipped them in revive and a bunch of bugs came out . Now my zoos are all open. It works good
