With the exception of a couple of my zoas the rest arent opening up...I recently about 2 weeks ago took out my damsels that were in there and replaced them with a potter angel which died 3 days later...since then my zoas have taken a dive for the worse...my nitrate is at 0 and I heard they love nitrates...just wondering is this my problem?? Thanks in advance for all the help

Hey bud, try moving the closed ones around, they act differently on flow and lighting, sometimes bothered by snails too, how's your salinity ?

Ok ill try moving them around, hopefully that works...my salinity is in the right spot for them...quick question tho, when I top off with ro/di is it possible that since its not heated water that it might be an issue or it doesnt matter

How long the angle die in the tank before it removed? I would do some water chance to remove some ammonia. No need to move zoas around if they were open in your tank before closed up.

Got any pics? Are they turning sort of clear? For some bumps on them? Brown film growing on them? Do you notice and starfish hanging out in or near them? Do you see asterina starfish on your glass at night?

If you can, take colony out, do an iodine dip and after twelve minutes blast it with a turkey baster. Then look at the bottom of the container at what comes off.

The potter angel was out as soon as possible and I did a 10% water change right after...right now my ammonia nitrite and nitrate are 0 my alk 11 drops and my calcium is 460 and havent tested the phosphate since it first cycled like 3 months ago...I think moving them around might work, so far my speckled fire and ice are starting to open up again...my blue hornet colony needs to be moved again Ill give it until monday and my no name pink and black colony hasnt opened since I got them 2 month ago are still on the rock so I guess they are still alive but a couple of my 1 polyp frags have melted...everything else is healthy
