I was moving a frag of bam bams this evening under the actinics and after I set it down on some rock and picked it back up, I noticed that some of the orange came off. The polyps opened back up and didn't look any worse for the wear. Ever seen this before?

I don't see any polyp's in the pic but if your talking about the orange spots on the rocks that is coralline algae.

The orange spots are where the polyps were set down. It wasn't there before I set them down and I was able to brush it off with my finger. Just thought it was strange.

That's normal. It's like if the zoas wear make up. If you touch it the color comes off. It happens a lot when you frag. After a week or so the color comes back so don't worry.

Thats Stange I havnt seen this yet. But glad Josh knew. Ive been learning a ton on this site!!

Get a zoa and run your finger through it so you can experience it 1st hand. Your finger will be neon on the blue lights lol.
