My zoas got a hitchkiker.

Ok, I bought a 19 polpy zoathid today, and I didn't notice until I got home but I got a zoa that had hitchhiked the zoa frag, seems crazy, right. All I'm asking is should I frag the hitchhiker zoas in case the non hitchiker zoas takes over the hitchiker zoas, or should I just leave them on the same plug, I don't want to waste my free zoas! Thanks in advance.

Either or. You may also want to leave it to see if it sprouts another head (making it a bit easier to frag).

If it's not attached to the other zoas you can clip the part of the plug it's on and glue it to its own plug.

and if you can't clip the plug, and want to remove it,
cut it off as close to the plug as possible and glue it to a new plug.

edit: face shield/safety glasses and gloves when working with zoa/paly's.

No problem. Side note: I also find when I frag my zoas it Jump starts new polyp growth. Of course with less experience I would frag as them as least invasive as possible. Put in lugols iodine dip..frag..plug back in dip (dip about 10 minutes total..about ten drops per cup)..rinse and put in tank. That's just if you ever want to frag off of a colony

no stinging.
their "body fluids".
they sometimes squirt when you aggravate them. (face protection)

and when you cut them directly, the will "bleed" body fluids.
and we all have minute cuts on our hands all the time. (gloves)
