After I added corals to my marine tank I placed the coral frags onto my sand and have noticed what seems to be a pink area where they have been placed on the sandbed. Since I moved them I have noticed large areas of my sand covered in the same pink substance. I have added photos and am a little concerened that this could be cyano bacteria but I have been told it could also be coralline alage as I have traces on my rock as well. Could a helpful person help me identify this substance as I'm a relative newcomer to this hobby. Many thanks to all!
