I recently went fallow in my FOWLR and am in the process of re-stocking it. I have already had the 1st round of fish go through a 30 day quartinteen period and have been in the tank now for over a month.

In my 75 Gallon QT I had a 2 inch emporer angel fish, 2 inch flag fin angel fish, a 1 inch potters. They were all in for 2 weeks at 2.0 copper level (Copper Power). All eating and interacting amazingly. I then added 5 Blue/Green Chromi and a 3 inch Queen angel fish.

One of the Chromi's came in with urenoma and was removed immediately from QT. Everyone has been in there and happy and eating for 2 weeks. (1 month for Emporer, Flagfin, Potters) with two weeks to go.

3 days ago I go to the tank to find the emporer laying on bottom dead. I pulled it out and there was no markings on it, nothing to suggest aggression or disease. Then yesterday around 5 I feed the tank, all eat aggressively. Then at 1130 before I go to bed the potters angel was on the ground dead. At 5 was the 1st one to eat darting around the tank.

What am I missing? The Emporer i just chalked up to stuff happens, this is why we QT. But the potters going from amazing to dead in 5 hours after 30 days in QT......... what could have killed these two without leaving a single mark on their body? Internal Parasite maybe?

No ammonia in the tank
No environmental issues like air fresheners of anything in the area.

Food is the same that I fead all 4 of my tanks

Angels don’t like copper, but they should have tolerated your treatment well enough. If the Uronema had spread, the angels would have One thing for future reference: any time you have a freshly dead fish, give it a 10 minute FW dip to screen for flukes...that added data can help your remaining fish.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of potters, had my share just drop for no obvious reason.

what would be your thought on removing the copper and treating with a round of Prazi to make sure? I don't have another QT tank that size. I wish I did, I would just transfer them into a sterile QT tank.

How long has the queen been in the copper though? I worry about pulling the copper and then ending up with a protozoan issue. I’ve run coppersafe and prazi at the same time....don’t know about copper power though.

The queen has and 4 blue/green Chromi have been in for 2 weeks, flag fin for 30 days.

Personally, I QT in much smaller batches of fish. It is hard to know all the possibilities when you have several fish, including several added after copper has already started. I would leave the remaining fish and completely finish your 30 days in copper with the last one added. Just observe. I would not add anything else to this QT tank until your FOWLR is ready from fallow period.

Okay, So flagfin dead yesterday when I got home. Shows signs of urinoma. One of the other Chromi now showing signs, possibly two. Can the Queen angel that's in there ever be introduced into the display at this point? I am going to say no on the Chromi's. @Humblefish can you please share your thoughts on the Queen?
