Hey everyone. I've been around reef2reef for a while, just haven't started my build thread yet. This is my SCA 66. It's a mixed reef, although it will be SPS/LPS dominant.
My exeperience and failures have led me to want an ULM tank with minimal equipment and maintenance. Here is how it is built.
SCA 66 -> Herbie overflow -> filter sock -> Protein Skimmer -> refugium -> return
Equipment:
Modified hydroponic 6 bulb T5. 3 coral+ & 3 blue+
Gyre 230
Barrier Reef Aquariums Protein Skimmer (same as the one on fish-street)
Finnex titanium heater
Tunze 3155 ATO
Jebao DC return pump
Pacific Sun Kore 5th Doser
Dosing:
ATI essentials 3 part (all equal parts)
Sicce Amino Acids
Livestock:
1 PJ cardinal
1 bangaii cardinal
2 Royal Gramma
1 split tail blenny
2 orange skunk clowns
1 blue dashed blenny
1 links goby
2 Derasa clams (hosting clowns)
1 Squamosa clam
Frogspawn
Hammer coral
Duncan coral
Micromussa lords
Couple small zoa colonies
Random SPS (purple with red polyps)
Thats about it! I'm letting things stabilize before I start adding acropora anf various SPS. I will be running close to NSW for now, and I'm finally on the verge of stable alk (6.94) after my clams sucked in down to 6...
