Was in a LFS in NYC yesterday, and they had a tank (cubicle) marked "Dispar Anthias: $10". I asked about the ones that _weren't_ dispars, and was told that's what they're being sold as.

Purchased five, but lost one overnight - haven't been able to figure out what they are yet - they seem similar to P. bimaculatus, except for the pinkish fins, red stripe at the top of their caudal peduncle, and faint red midbody bar on a couple of them. (Not the one in the photos, unfortunately - but the others were hiding and/or darting.)

Any thoughts?

Not an anthias expert but looks similar to Pseudanthias marcia. Just a stab...

Hard to tell for sure. The faint mid body bar is certainly indicative of Marcia, so I think that’s a good guess.
