Don’t know if I have an emergency, but I also don’t know what I just could have done. . I have a 300 gal heavy spa 2 year old system. I dose 200 ml part A. And 200 ml part B a day. I recently purchased 6 gallon jugs of each. One of the part A jugs did not have the white settling at the bottom. I chalked this up to it being newer. I diluted it as is standard and hooked it to my dozer. Next day I had an alk crash. 9.0 to 8.4.... I tested the alk in the bottle (controlled test with tank water mix). And it was clear it was not part A, but I have no idea what it was...... has anyone ever gotten a bad batch? What could have possibly have been in the jug?..... nothing dead yet, but jut put 200 ml of mystery fluid in my tank. Thoughts?

Whoa. I'll take a guess:

The ALK has crystalized solid on the bottom of the jug. Happens every time for me -- particularly in the winter months. I buy it in the 5G pails. Have to open it, dilute it, drop in a heater and a small pump and let run a couple days.

Brother/Sister I have to be honest with you: Time for a calcium reactor. I am in the same boat. I have ESV buckets stacked to the ceiling in my basement.
