Mystery Coral

I received an order from Candy Corals and they sent me a free coral but they did not label what it was. Can anyone identify this coral? Thanks. I should also say that i was really impressed with Candy Corals if you live in Canada they are a great site for getting corals etc.

Likes like a Rhodactis Mushroom of some sort to me. Should grow quickly and be super easy to keep!

Definitely a Rhodactis. Not sure of a specific name for it. But Tidal Gardens is selling some that look just like this under the name Ultra Orange Rhodactis.

A few years ago I was able to get a three vol. set of Corals of the World, Vol. 1, 2, 3 (in Slip Cover). Every coral known is pictured and discussed in this set . This is an excellent resource that explains the structure and origin of all known corals in all our oceans. I see now that the price has tripled since I purchased them, but if anyone can get their hands on a set “ they are a must have” and well worth it. Here is one link to the set.
