Bought this snail a couple months ago, and this week this pink crust showed up and has I believe grown and brightened up. Coralline? Is seems to glow more than most coralline species I've seen.

Do you have pictures under white light (ex. with a flashlight)?
Coralline algae and various other red macroalgae will fluoresce as they die.
 
Could be that because the tip seems more bare than the rest of the shell. It's is still pink under white. Hard to get a good angle on it.

Not sure exactly what you mean here. Looking at the photo, it looks like there is coralline algae on the top of the snail and a different, harmless red encrusting macroalgae towards the base, such as Peyssonnelia or Hildenbrandia. If the coralline is dying, it should eventually turn white.
