I woke up this morning to my small 29 gallon reef tank murky in color, with hundreds of eggs floating around the tank, with a large concentration of them them atop a fuzzy mushroom. If you can identify them please help. This has never happened in the last 6 years, and nothing new has been added in the last year. Last night it was clear, with no eggs. 45348720_1959127424166412_2306428812688097280_n.jpg 45175854_262603224441351_7457535111148339200_n.jpg

What do you have for livestock?

I also want to add, I have 2 turbo snails, their eggs are off white, spiral and stuck on at a time to the glass or rock. The fuzzy mushrooms have also spread over the years, and this has never happened as part of it spreading.

What do you have fish wise is what I meant.

Never seen an egg sack like that before. A list of all fish and inverts that are in your tank could help identify what left these. (A livestock list.)

I wouldn't worry much about the cloudy water. I had a massive spawning of astrea snails a couple months ago. The tank looked like milk, it was so cloudy. It cleared up by the next day on its own.

Sorry, I just caught that. I real live, and ock, my brain made the connection. At the moment no live fish. 2 turbo snails, a pencil sea urchin, 4 small cleaner crabs, frogspawn coral, fuzzy mushrooms, and a small favia coral

Those are beautiful eggs. Corallimorphs have occasionally been observed releasing eggs; could they be from the mushroom itself?

Looks to be coming from the mouth of the coral.

Those are snail eggs. I've seen them coming out of my snail. The mushrooms are probably eating them. When my snail releases them everything in my tank tries to eat them.

I'm talking the first eggs shown here. They look like clusters of purple grapes.
