Hello All,

My LFS finally had a decent selection of coral and I picked this guy up. Really no polyp extension so far just wondering everyones opinion on placement. For flow I currently have two MP40s running on nutrient transport at 60%. This is currently the highest point in my tank and has no protection from flow. For lighting I run two AI Hydra 32s. Attached are a couple photos. The coral is a very dark purple color so far nothing else.

I know the blue are heavy but it’s that time of night here…

I would keep it there, it should do good. if it doesn't like it, it will let you know sooner than later

Is there a rule of thumb for SPS with whitening ? Like if it turn white it needs more or less light or flow?

I’m assuming this piece is some sort of Acro.

acros tend to go green when receiving low light, coral bleaching can be because of a dozens of reasons; high light, temp swings, RTN,STN, nutrient deficiency, etc..
