This came out tonight from my little cave. 20 gallon 2yr old aquarium. Healthy and thriving No new additions for months. What in the name of all things is this?!?!?

If thats a peanut worm then thats one heck of a big peanut worm it looks like its atleast 1cm in width, it also kind of looks like a sea squirt or a sea cucumber.

As has been mentioned, this is most likely either a huge worm species or a sea cucumber. Personally, I'm leaning toward sea cucumber, but I'd likely need to see the specimen's mouth to know for sure.

Some cucumbers you could look at pics of to compare with are Synaptula spp. (such as Synaptula lamperti) and Chiridota spp. (such as Chiridota laevis).

I'm also now leaning towards a sea cumber. I believe it could be a see-through sea cucumber, or Paracaudina australis.
